My name is Theresa Huarte and my husband is Robin Brisebois.Welcome to our hiking site "hikebuzz.com"!

We live in Calgary, Alberta,Canada. Although we have spent a lot of time in the backcountry we only started hiking in 2009. We have fallen in love with the spectacular scenery and grand vistas that open up as you hike up above treeline on a sunny beautiful cool morning . I hope that our trip reports and pictures will inspire you to push your own physical limits whatever those may be. You may be inspired to try hiking ,scrambling - a sport where you climb mountains via non-technical ascent routes - or you may simply realize what's in your own backyard and go for a short hike somewhere.

The Canadian Rockies have a spectacular landscape; let's get out there and enjoy it. As always,you must prepare to go the backcountry!
